Bhubaneswar, 31st July 2026 : A high-level review meeting to assess security and safety arrangements for the upcoming visit ON 4th August of the Hon’ble President of India was held today under the chairmanship of Shri Y.B. Khurania, DGP, Odisha. The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Director (Intelligence), Shri R P Koche, ADGP (Law &Order) Shri Sanjay Kumar, ADGP(SAP)Shri Rajesh Kumar, Commissioner of Police(BBSR-CTC) Dr. Devadatta Singh, Principal Chief Security Commissioner (PCSC) East Coast Railway (ECoR) Shri Alok Bohra, IGP, (CR) Shri Satyajit Naik, SP, CID,CB Shri Vivekananda Sharma. During the meeting, the DGP directed that all concerned units strictly adhere to the established protocols laid down in the Blue Book for VVIP security. Nodal officers are being designated to ensure seamless coordination of all security-related duties across departments. As part of preparatory measures, anti-sabotage checks will be carried out as a top priority across the venue and travel route. Track patrolling along the entire route is being intensified, and all level crossings on the route will be manned throughout the duration of the visit. Railway staff scheduled for platform duty are being identified in advance, with duty passes issued to facilitate smooth access. Comprehensive security measures, including drone surveillance and continuous checks of the venue and route, are also being undertaken to further strengthen preparedness. The DGP directed all senior officers to maintain close coordination among the Police, Railways and administrative authorities to ensure a smooth, secure and dignified visit for the Hon’ble President.
